Boosters Update--Friday, Sept 20
Are you Ready?
We need to let the Blue Hawks hear our support from the stands this Saturday!!
Kick off is at 1:30 pm at Bill Ball Stadium - Gates open at noon.
a HUGE thank you to all the Freshman Helpers in our concession stand -
it is a big weekend for us as hosts - and a shout out to all our 50/50
volunteers as well.

Football Game Dress Code
Winnacunnet Week has a specific dress code for all football fans –
it’s gotta be Navy & Silver/White!!!  The Boosters will bring bouquets
of navy and silver/white balloons to decorate our side of the field
for the Varsity game.  We want our fans to help with those decorations
by wearing navy and silver/white to show your support of our team.

Worthy to Mention – Sportsmanship Award
For those of you who are new to Blue Hawk sports, you may not be aware
that the most treasured and honored award our school’s athletic teams
can be awarded is the coveted Sportsmanship Award.  “The Sportsmanship
Award” is based on a point system.  Every sport during the fall,
winter and spring seasons is rated by the officials and the coaches —
of the players on the field and the fans in attendance.”  Exeter has
won several Class L Sportsmanship awards since the 1998-1999 season!!!
The fans are rated just as much as the players and coaches at all
sporting events.  Let’s be sure we are doing our part of keeping this
great tradition going as we cheer from the sidelines!

Senior Day set for Friday, Nov. 1st…what is Senior Day?
This year’s Senior Day ceremony for our football players will be held
just prior to the Varsity Nashua North game Friday, Nov 1st….and some
of you may be wondering what the heck that is.  It is a tradition
across all Blue Hawk sports programs to recognize our senior
players/team members on a specific day in that sport’s season.  Blue
Hawk Football Boosters recognize our senior players on the last home
game of the regular season.  How do they get recognized?  The families
of our senior players create banners/posters decorated with
memorabilia and words of encouragement.  Those posters are hung on the
fences around the football field.  Balloons adorn the gate where the
players enter, our senior players are individually introduced by the
game announcer, and greeted on the field upon their arrival by their
families.  It’s a very special day – you will not believe how fast
that day will come for our players!

Varsity Jackets
A tradition!  Every year the Football Boosters purchase varsity-style
football jackets for players – usually our three-year players.

The jackets are customized with the player's name and jersey number,
and presented at the End-of-Year Ceremony.  Kathy White is the point
person on this project this year.
Coach Ball provides us with a list of those players who will receive a
varsity jacket.  This year players will be sized during their JV Carbo
night on Thursday, Sept. 19th (to be held at EHS cafe) and at the
Varsity Carbo at the Medley's Home next Thursday 9/26. Note - Players
who will be measured this year should have already received a note
from Boosters with the heads up.

Incentive Card Shirts? - wondering when they might arrive?
The Boosters are told these shirts will be in most likely in the next
two weeks. The Third Party Vendor that runs the card sales has
complete control of the shirts - so we will do our best to keep you
posted - Fingers are crossed that we will see those very soon!

Send a Snack-
Freshman and JV teams have 5 pm away games coming up. So while the
proximity of the game is close and Boosters will provide a drink and
snack following the game- it is completely acceptable to send an extra
snack to school that day with your player - so they can eat something
after school. Don't let a player tell you they cannot - this is
completely fine and we don't want anyone hungry!

Both JV and Frosh Games are AT Winnacunnet - for MapQuest or GPS use 1
Alumni Dr, Hampton, NH 03842

Reminder - End 68 Hours of Hunger Donation Box at the gate Saturday.
They provide a backpack of food for the elementary school children
within SAU16 who are food insecure over the weekend.  68 Hours
represents the amount of time from the free lunch they receive in
school on Fri to the free breakfast that they receive in school on
Monday morning.

Winnacunnet Week is always one of the more anticipated and exciting
weeks of the football season.  We are looking forward to joining all
our Football Boosters - past and present - on the sidelines as we
cheer in unison....

 GO BLUE HAWKS!!!!

Boosters Update--Sept 9 JV and Frosh Schedule Revisions
Two revised schedules have been uploaded into the Important Documents/Forms section.  The JV and Freshman Schedules are updated from previous versions.  Go Hawks!

Blue Hawks Overpower the Green Wave, Win Home Opener

The 2013 edition of the Exeter Blue Hawks picked up where their two-time Division I champion predecessors left off by dispatching the Dover Green Wave 48-6 in their season opener on Eustis Field.

Scoring early and often, the Hawks' offense was typically steady, scoring three touchdowns behind its efficient, powerful running attack.  Exeter added a touchdown blocking and scoring on a Dover punt deep in their own territory.

The defense was similarly impressive limiting Dover to three first downs and allowing no trips onto their side of the field in the first half.  The Blue Hawks left no doubt about their strength up front with dominant line play on both sides of the ball.

Exeter reached deep into their depth chart with many Hawks seeing action with wholesale substitutions early in the third quarter.  The Blue Hawks travel to 1-0 Keene next Saturday evening for what should be a great matchup.
